Special Details

Agape Christian Church was investing in their property — new retaining walls, exterior renovations, real improvements to how the building looked and functioned. The parking lot was the piece that didn’t match. Years of patching had left it crumbling and dated, and it had reached the point where it was no longer safe for the people using it.

They asked what it would take. Kingsway’s answer was honest: an overlay would look fine for a season, but we couldn’t stand behind it over a base that was already failing — so we proposed a complete tear-out and replacement instead. When prep and grading uncovered sub-base problems, we repaired them rather than paving over them, and we added a drain where water had always puddled.

Weather was working against the schedule, so we prepped and based the lot in one visit, left it usable through the week, and returned on a later date to place the surface course and striping. The church never lost the use of its lot.

The result is a 4" light duty asphalt lot built to last, finished to match the rest of the improvements the church had made — and a congregation that pulls into a parking lot that reflects the building it serves.
