New construction commercial lot — paving to plan specification
Ivan Weaver Construction builds a reputation on the same two things every time: high-quality projects, delivered on time and on budget. When they took on the new Pinnacle Gymnastics facility, the parking lot was not a finishing touch — it was a two-acre piece of the critical path, and it had to be ready the day the building was.
Kingsway quoted and was awarded the paving the fall before construction began, then held a time slot open for months while the build progressed. As Ivan Weaver’s timeline moved, we moved with it. When prep ran tight, our crew jumped in alongside J. Miller and Sons to help finish the stone prep and grading so paving could start on schedule.
The lot was paved to plan specification in two sections — a heavier build under the drive lanes and truck routes, a standard section under the parking stalls — with non-tracking tack coat between every lift. Roughly 2,950 tons of asphalt went down, backed by 300 hours of quad-axle trucking so the paver never sat waiting on a load. Paving and line striping both finished on schedule.
A two-acre paving package, delivered with no change orders and completed a day ahead of schedule. That is what a general contractor is buying when they hire a paving crew: certainty.
